NBSHOA Committees
Many Members of the
Association serve as volunteers by serving on various committees that
were created by the Board. These committees perform many important
services to the neighborhood. Without these volunteers, many of the
amenities that we enjoy and many of the functions of the Association
would not be feasible to continue. Aside from serving on the Board,
volunteering for a committee is a great way to participate in the
Association.
Maintenance/Landscape Committee
The
Maintenance/Landscape Committee plays a vital role in our
Association. This committee is responsible for the upkeep of the
various common areas including the lake, clubhouse, and the front
entrance. This committee must communicate and
coordinate with the various contractors that perform services for the HOA
as well
as the North Brandon Ridge HOA with regard to upkeep of the front
entrance.

Lake Committee
The Lake Committee
was formed to deal with issues regarding the management of North
Brandon Lake. These duties include communicating with Southeastern
Pond Management about the goals of the HOA and communicating and
overseeing routine management activities like the fertilization and
liming of the Lake. This committee also establishes the final
guidelines regarding the harvest of fish from the Lake based on input
from Southeastern Pond Management and input from the HOA members.

Clubhouse Committee
The Clubhouse
Committee maintains and oversees the upkeep and use of our
community's clubhouse. This includes the establishment of
guidelines for using
and/or renting the clubhouse and pool.

Architectural Review Committee
The Architectural
Review committee to oversees the approval of plans and promulgates
standards for improvements within the framework of the covenants.
In many cases, the Covenants do not provide specific guidance with regard
to every question but rather rely on the judgment of the
Association. Consistent with this approach, our Covenants rely
heavily on prior approval from the Association before improvements can be
made. However, the Architectural Review Committee along with the
Board has developed some written guidelines that will be used in the plan
approval process. Please see the Architectural Review page of this

Audit Committee
The function of
the Audit Committee is to perform an independent review of the
Association's finances as a check on the Board of Directors. The
Bylaws state that this review shall be performed within 90 days of the
end of each fiscal year. Audit
Committee volunteers are selected from the HOA membership, and are
preferably
members with accounting or business backgrounds.
